Relax…there’s no need to fear.
When you truly belong to Jesus Christ, you are safe in His hands. He is invested in caring for you, sustaining you, growing you, holding you tightly to Himself. The Father gave us His own Son’s life to inherit us as His special treasured possession.
Be prepared, if you give your life over to Him, you’ll fall in love with Him. There’s no way to experience His saving grace and not have intense emotional feelings of love and longing for Him. Our salvation isn’t based on feelings but once you’re saved there’s no way you won’t have feelings. And if you have little to no feelings for Him, please seek His face and His love with everything in you.
As His people, we will go through high seasons and dry seasons, seasons of obedience and seasons of doubt, seasons of quietness and seasons of pure fire. But, no matter what season we may face as believers, we will n e v e r stop loving Him. Never. Once you’re His, you’re His for life and loving Him becomes more natural than breathing or blinking.
Take seriously the admonition in scripture to test yourself to see if you’re in the faith.
Because you will deeply love the God who saved you from hell.
{Ephesians 1:18}
“I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.”
{2 Corinthians 13:5}
“Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.”
{Matthew 7:21}
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.”
What’s His will?
{Matthew 22:37-40}
And He said to him, “you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”This is the great and foremost commandment.
{Deuteronomy 6:5}
And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.
{John 14:21}
“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.””
{Deuteronomy 10:12}
what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
{Micah 6:8}
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
{John 10:27-30}
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”
