When you come to Christ for salvation, He becomes your first love. He’s not an add-on to your life, He IS your life. He’s not someone you love, He IS your love. He’s above a l l other loves.
Salvation isn’t an act of a person deciding one day to go to church and maybe teach Sunday school. Salvation is a supernatural work of God that transforms a soul’s heart radically and brings that person’s spirit to true life.
He is the Author and Perfecter of our faith. He does it all, it’s all in Him.
I thought I was alive before I met my God. I thought I was out having fun, “living life”, doing my thang. But it wasn’t until the love of God came rushing into my heart that I had realized I’d been dead for all of my life. You think you’re living until you actually meet LIFE Himself. The One who created life.
The One who is the Resurrection the Truth and the Life.
When I look back, I realize I was a zombi walking this earth. Emptiness on the inside, every day I took a step closer to eternal death. But He saved me from death. And now the power of the life giving Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead now lives in me.
And it’s so delightful and good. It’s so intimate and real and unfathomably beautiful.
Now, the fear of death is nonexistent in my life. Because when I die, I’ll be with the One whom my soul loves. I’ll be with my first love. Forever.
But until then, I’ll keep writing and proclaiming to the world how amazing He is.💕
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.”
