Brothers and sisters in Christ,

If you’re Holy Spirit-filled, it means you have been bought at a very high price. The price of the blood of God Himself, to pay for all of your wickedness and darkness. He took your sins upon Himself and suffered, and in exchange He gave us His righteousness and freed us from death and shame. We are called to live Holy lives. It isn’t a request, it’s our identity. We are light to this dark world and we’re not to partake in anything that is unholy or wicked. We are to love what God loves, and hate what God hates.

God hates Halloween. It is dark, evil, disgusting, wicked, demonic, and sinful. Christians have absolutely no place to partake in Halloween in any way, shape, or form. It isn’t fun and games, and it isn’t innocent. Real human sacrifices take place on this night. Real suffering, real torture, real demonic activity.

As His saints, we’re called to stand out. We’re not called to look like everyone else or live like everyone else. We’re a peculiar people. Please, stay away from Halloween and keep your children from it. Instead, stay in and pray and read the Bible.

If you insist on partaking in Halloween, ask yourself – why? Why are you attaching yourself to something God hates? Do you love God more than partaking in a wicked thing? That’s the test of the heart. Do you love God more? Test yourself to see if you’re in the faith.

Delight yourself in being different, living Holy, and keeping away from the dark things of this world. I take delight in it! It brings me joy. I’m not trying to put a burden on you – but if you love Him, it’s not a burden. I love Him more than anything, and as someone who has experienced His salvation, I would give up anything and everything for Him. Jesus said if you love your own family more than Him, you are not worthy of Him. How much more unworthy if you love a dark holiday more than Him?

{Isaiah 5:20}
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”

{1 Peter 1:16}
It is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”

{1 Thessalonians 5:22}
“Abstain from every form of evil.”

{Matthew 5:16}
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

{1 Peter 2:9}
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

    Hey friend, I am so with you. I hate this time of year. I hate the holiday. I hate that it exists, I hate the decorations. It breaks my heart seeing the little kids dressed as scary things. And yet we participate in trick or treat. My mom never let us as kids, and then God spoke to her once and told her that He loved the trick or treaters, He loves the children. I don’t know where I am with it, except that Dan insists on them trick or treating. He wants them to participate, and it’s a battle I cannot win. As much as I hate it, I believe God loves the trick or treaters and reaches out to these little ones who are only thinking of it as innocence.

      Thank you for sharing your heart on the subject, my sister.💕 I really love the contribution. God definitely loves the trick or treaters and their innocence. Unfortunately Halloween is something that actually peels their innocence away from them. It’s just pure darkness. Witches actually laugh and mock the fact that some Christians partake in something so obviously twisted and evil and against God. I know you’re in a tough situation because your husband insists, and as his wife, you’re called to submit. I think the most powerful thing to do is pray that he becomes more obedient to God and his word. He has to face God one day as the head of the house. Through prayer, God can do amazing things! I can only imagine the struggle though, that’s gotta be so tough. : ( Thank you for reading + commenting! I love you lots!💕

    You’re right, even the days of the week have pagan influence (Sunday = sun god worship). And no, I don’t go protesting the days of the week. We live in a pagan-influenced world. Satan has dominion over this world and that’s obvious (2 Corinthians 4:4). Some things we can’t control and that’s okay. It’s called spiritual discernment and being lead by the Holy Spirit. Did I go as far as to “protest” days of the week? No. I’m talking about an evil holiday here – something you HAVE control over in celebrating and partaking in. I appreciate your thoughts and I welcome discussion. But it sounds to me like you’re making an awful lot of compromises in order to partake in something that is so obviously an evil holiday. In fact, you seem to be defending it. I’d be personally concerned if I were you.

    Really, all holidays are pagan. And no, I don’t celebrate any of them and therefore you have no groundings to insinuate my being a hypocrite for calling out Halloween but failing to call out the other pagan holidays. I haven’t gotten to those yet. And to add–yes, I just may do a post on the days of the week and the pagan influence behind them. Would that be a problem for you?

    It seems like your heart and train of thought is this: ‘since this whole world has pagan influence, let’s just partake in it all and enjoy. Let’s mix the Holy with the dirty.’ No way, absolutely not. Some things we can’t control, like calling a Sunday, Sunday. Some things we CAN control, like voluntarily participating in a wicked holiday when we don’t have to. And please do not try to make it a Holy day just because the antichrist Catholic Church added a holiday around Halloween. “Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean;” (Ezekiel 22:26).

    Again, it seems to me like you’re making a lot of compromises. And compromise is something God hates, if you’ve read the bible in its entirety. (Ezekiel 22:26, John 14:15, Hebrews 10:26, Romans 12:21, James 4:17, Joshua 24:14-15, Luke 10:27, Colossians 3:5, Matthew 6:33). This is something obvious. And as believers, we’re called to stay away from darkness AND expose it.

    Ephesians‬ ‭5:1-13‬: “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.”

    That’s what I’m doing here, exposing evil and guiding Christians to stay away from evil things. This is biblical, and something God guided me to do. If you have a problem with one of His saints exposing Halloween and exhorting Christians to stay away from it, then I suggest you take that up with God Himself. I don’t think He’s going to be too pleased, because you’re basically trying to thwart my exhortation and say Christians should be able to partake because this whole world is pagan anyways. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20).

    You seem to love darkness rather than light. (John 3:19). That’s why your spirit feels so disturbed at my post against Halloween (to the point of commenting here, and ranting about it on your own blog). It’s also why you love horror movies, and follow the dark anti-Christ blasphemous catholic church.

    You may think you can do whatever you want, but if you are bought by God, you can’t do whatever you want. And if you’re truly bought by God, you don’t WANT to do whatever the flesh wants and you instead desire to stay away from evil and be pure for Him. I’m not seeing this here according to your comment and personal blog.

    “Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you– unless indeed you fail the test?” (2 Corinthians 3:5).

    I pray God opens your eyes. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Have a good day. 🙂
