You Are Beautiful

Psalms 147:4-5 “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.”

Think of a bright starry night. Have you ever looked up at night and see trillions of stars, a number so beyond our comprehension – way too many to count? It says in scripture that God has a name for each and every star! Not only did He create each one, unique in glory and brilliance, but He also has a special name for each star. That’s so unbelievably amazing!

This God who made all of these stars and named them personally also made you! And because you’re made in His image, a star can’t compare to the beauty God has bestowed on you as a human being. You are at the top of His creation.

If magnificent stars are beautiful, and you are beautiful, and all the rest of creation is beautiful…how beautiful is Jesus Christ, the glorious One who created all of these things? He is so much more beautiful than all the beautiful things combined.

And He is so deserving in our trust in Him.

Will You Open The Door?

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬

Jesus is alive, real, and draws people to Himself (knocking). We must put our faith in Him to receive forgiveness of our sins and be cleansed of them. This results in eternal life! It is such an amazingly simple thing, probably the most simple thing in all of existence: to trust in the God who literally created your soul. Yet, it can be so hard to get to that place of full surrender and faith. Why?

Because humans tend to trust in what they can see, and disregard what they cannot see. Our tendency is to trust in the tangible and reject the unseen and spiritual. Because of our sinful nature, we suppress the existence of God in our hearts because we can’t see Him, and put all our trust in humanistic ideologies, theories, ideas.

We all do this, every single human being. Until we come to a place where we acknowledge that God is real, He is who He says He is, and we do what He requires.

Thankfully, God is so incredibly amazing that He requires very little from us, because He Himself did all the work. He came down from Heaven, lived the perfect life we couldn’t live by following the law perfectly, and died for us a tortuous and painful death. The death that we deserve. All He requires from us? Our trust. Our faith in Him.

It takes one moment, one act of faith that sets your soul on a secured path to heaven. He is drawing you, and you must respond. This decision of whether or not a person opens the door to Jesus Christ will be the because decision in our life, and it has eternal consequences.

God is so beautiful, even though people deny Him and are children of wrath (before a person is born-again they are a child of God’s wrath) even though people deny Him and reject Him, He is still ready and willing to have a relationship with those who turn to Him! All it takes is faith in Him.

It’s as easy as letting go, humbling yourself and surrendering to the Almighty God. And when this happens, you’ll have a close, intimate, unending relationship with Jesus Himself! He’s waiting and knocking at your door, He wants you to open to Him, repent and trust in Him.

Once that door is open, it can never be shut and the Lord will keep you close to Him forever. You’ll be covered by the blood of Christ and born-again, your soul protected before you die and you’ll be taken to heaven after you die. There’s nothing greater on this earth than that. Open your door to Him (faith) and you’ll experience salvation for your soul and the true love of Christ. ♥️

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” Romans 1:16-25♥️

Protected by Christ

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Psalm 91:2,4,5

In this world there are so many crazy things. Though there are many good things, there are many bad things in this world and we don’t know what will happen tomorrow. This deadly virus is just one example. Everything in our human existence is uncertain, and we are just taking it step by step, day by day not having a clue what tomorrow will bring. Only God knows, and He is the One we should turn to. Everything is uncertain except one thing: The Lord Jesus Christ. Without Him, our lives are chaotic and we are swept away in this world. With Him, we are on a firm foundation and nothing can move us.

Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

James 4:13-16

Putting our trust to Him leads us into total certainty and peace of mind: certainty that we are loved, that we are cared for and protected amidst this tumultuous world. He is the one who can cover us in His protection, even amidst a deadly virus. We have no fear of these things, because we’re in God’s hands. Putting our faith in Him and being born-again leads to a protection like no other, because we have that certainty that no matter what happens in this world, we’ll be with Him in heaven at the end of our lives for those who have been born-again and clothed in His righteousness.

He wants us to run to Him for refuge and protection (putting our faith in Him) because He’s the only one that can ultimately protect us and cover us. Lysol wipes or masks lead us to a temporary yet false protection, because it’s not our soul that’s protected in these things, only our body. Trusting in Jesus doesn’t mean we’ll never get sick, but it does mean we will be in heaven one day, that our soul is safe and protected, and nothing could ever compare to that.

The bad things of this world no longer brings fear upon us because the most powerful being in the world protects us. But we must put out trust in Him.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8: 35,39

The Beauty in the Humbleness of God

“(Jesus) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Philippians 2:6-11

This is such an incredible passage and it leaves me in awe when I read it. This is what kind of God we have, the kind of glorious God who created the earth, the stars, the sky, and the oceans. He is glorious and majestic and beautiful! Yet, He came in the flesh (Jesus Christ) and became a servant, with no reputation, and humbled Himself!?

Too much to fathom in my mind.

This speaks of God’s wonderful character so much. Though He is the most powerful being in the universe, He’s also the most humble being in the universe. How is it that we as mere imperfect humans could have pride at times, yet God in His greatness is humble?

Wow, just wow.

He was humble to the point that He actually endured the most gruesome torture, mocked, had His beard plucked out by each hair, beaten, whipped, and nailed to the cross (which is the most painful execution known to man in all of human history).

He was so profoundly humble to go through all of that, just so we could be forgiven and saved from our sins if we trust in Him. There is a way to heaven and it’s by putting our faith in Him and only Him.

It’s the most glorious thing imaginable. God is so beautiful in His humbleness.

He came to this earth as a humble servant, and He will be returning as a mighty King. Are you ready?

Glorious God

Oh, what a majestic God He is. Full of splendour and majesty. Worthy of all honour and praise, and devotion and obedience and loyalty and faith and all our love.✨

…And, can you even grasp the fact that He loves us with a great and mighty, yet intimate and tender, and beautifully forgiving, compassionate and jealous, faithful never ending everlasting love???💕

Oh He’s so amazing. He deserves more than we could ever give Him.✨

This God, by the word of His mouth created the stars and holds them in His hands. He also holds your heart.💕

How marvelous! how wonderful!
And my song shall ever be
How marvelous! how wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!🎵

{Psalm 8:3}
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; what is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him?

Never stop seeking this glorious King of the Heavens and Earth. Never stop chasing Him. He’s more worthy than anything else in this existence. Nothing compares. He’s incomparable…

And, praise Jesus, He’s knowable.✨🙌🏼💗😭

How do we walk in selfless love and sacrifice for others?

It comes from a foundation of loving God and being loved by Him. Knowing God and being known by Him. Made whole and complete in God and understanding your true worth in Him.

When we understand our worth in Him, we’re able to let go of trying to achieve what this world measures as worthy. We’re able to freely offer ourselves up and make ourselves less important than others and walk in humility because we are saved by Jesus, and have been given so much more than this world has to offer.

Jesus knew His worth and did not find it a loss to walk as a servant and get down to wash the feet of man or be abused at the hand of sinners and evil men. He was looking toward the reward of future glory and saving His people for all eternity. (John 13:3-5).

{Philippians 2:3-9}
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, although He existed in the form of God, who did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name.”

We’re to walk in the steps of Jesus.

We recognize that this world is extremely temporal and there is nothing in it for us as His saints. We understand that our purpose is to love with the love of Christ and be lights with the true light of Christ.

When we’re full of His love, His forgiveness and have experienced His mercy and kindness, we’re able to walk in a way that is completely abandoned to Him. We become free slaves to God and our eyes are on Him so much so that gain for ourselves no longer carries the weight in our hearts and lives that it once did.

We don’t have to be on top in this world because we have everything in Him. We don’t have to constantly look out for our own needs because we have a God who cares for us. So we can then care for others. We’ve been crucified with Christ. It is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us. {Galatians 2:20}

Because we’re secure in Him, we don’t need to act in ways that will make us feel secure in this world which leads to selfish ambition and elevating ourselves above others. This kind of love humility and selfless poured from us can only be given to others if we experience the endless love of God Himself.

When we’ve been saved, we see with spiritual eyes and act in spiritual ways – ways that are foreign to this world but are the epitome of who God is.

And of course, there’s sanctification. We’re constantly being molded, shaped, and refined to act in selfless love. He teaches us, He trains us, He grows us, He prepares us, and He is with us all along the way during our time on earth.

In short, abide in Him. Only then can a person give themselves as servants in this world because we’ve received all riches, love, and honour in Christ.

{Ephesians 4:2-3}
“Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love.”

The Christian Calling

I was reading the book of John recently, and particularly John 10:15 really struck me.
“As the Father knows Me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down My life for the sheep.”

He laid His life down for us. He sacrificed His precious, perfect life for us. He was a servant for us. Reading this passage really moved my heart because as His children, we’re to follow His example and be a servant. No matter how much it hurts or how tired we get. It’s not about me, or my desires, or my flesh, or my “needs”. It’s about serving others and fulfilling my calling. It’s about putting others first, above me. It’s about walking in humility among those I am serving and among this world. It’s about making myself low so I can lift others up. It’s about me decreasing and Him increasing in me. This isn’t my life, it’s His Life in me. I’m not called to live for myself, I’m called to live for Him. He was my example. He sacrificed His life for me and I’m to do the same for others.

“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” Philippians 2:4

“He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30

How do we walk in this high calling? I’ll discuss this in my next post. I love all of you in the Lord Jesus I and pray for those who are following this blog!🙏🏻

Sacrificial Love

I once was given a privilege by the Lord Jesus to witness a man of God acting in pure Christlike sacrificial love. And it changed me. This image will forever be seared in my heart.

I was at a Christian evangelism conference and every morning breakfast was provided by the church. It was pancakes. People were lingering around, concerned about getting their breakfast, getting their fill, their satisfaction, their need met.

The speaker mentioned that whatever was in the serving plate, that’s all we had. Everyone still got their fill, not showing any concern for others getting enough. One man piled up his plate with about 10 pancakes oozing with syrup.

Then, I notice something. A man on the other side of the breakfast table, quietly grabbing his pancakes. Except, he grabbed the burnt one at the bottom, taking the least desired pancake while the rest piled up their plates and had their fill.

My eyes couldn’t believe it. I was watching Christ through this man and it was glorious. It was like watching the pages of scripture unfold before me. It was so pure, so holy, so beautiful, so lovely, sacrificial.

Nobody noticed him, nobody appreciated that they were being thought of by him as more important than himself. And he didn’t care if not a single person noticed, because he was doing it for his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. But I noticed, and it will forever be with me.

God gave me a wonderful gift that day.

This is true Christlike godly Christian love. Sacrifice. Just as Christ sacrificed His life for us, we as His children are to walk in sacrificial love, letting our lives and bodies be a sacrifice unto God. Just as Christ was a servant and washed His disciples feet, are we to be servants and wash each others feet. We are to walk in humility, making others more important than ourselves. That is true godly love.

“If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” John‬ ‭13:14-15‬

Get Close to God

Never let any single thing, human or otherwise, be closer to you than your Maker is. Your union with Jesus must be a union untouched by outside hands – it must be so deep and strong and high and wide and all-consuming and first and foremost above all other relationships, that nothing on the outside can penetrate it. Jesus is your Saviour, your God, and your first love. Your relationship with Him will set the foundation of your entire life and all of your relationships – none of which should ever be more important or close to you than Jesus Himself. Get close to God, deepen your bond with Him. Love Him more than anything this world has to offer. Be satisfied in Him above all else. Be willing to serve Him unto death if He so desires. Jesus is a jealous God and wants all of you.

Make Him your everything, because He is your Maker.♥️

{Revelation 2:4}
[Jesus said], “But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”

{Hebrews 12:29}
“For our God is a consuming fire.”

{Exodus 34:14}
“You must worship no other gods, for the LORD, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.”😍
