We’re Meant For More

I was out camping in June and I was just so blown away by the beauty found in nature – God’s creation. I was able to hike up waterfall filled mountains. I was able to view the panoramic scene from the top. I was able to go into deep dark caves – so deep I could see my own breath and bask in the awe of the glittery cave rocks. I was able to listen to rain pouring over my tent, and in the morning, I was able to listen to all the creatures wake up and sing a symphony of praise. I was also able to see smoke rising from the green mountain hills and take a dip into the cool crisp Canadian water. I was able to get close to a deer and its fawn breastfeeding. I was able to save a turtle from the harsh highway. I was able to ponder thoughts about God with a friend over marshmallows and fire. I was able to sing through the forest worshipping and exalting the glorious King. I was able to smell the clean fresh air and read God’s word while basking in the glory of His awesome creation.

Oh, how lovely!

With a generation saturated in the black screen of the television, the phone, the tablet, and the laptop, please remember to go outside. Enjoy what God has made and has called good.🌲

We’re meant for more. Much more. We’re meant to live, breath, taste, and see. We’re meant to touch, laugh, feel, and hug. We’re meant to glorify God in all that we do, and experience His magnificent glory. We’re meant to love Him and live for Him and not waste our only lives on this Earth staring at a screen, fading away. We’re meant for Him, His purposes, His glory, His love.
I would like to share with you a Psalm God lead me to while I sat on a rock over the lake in the morning. It is so powerful.

{Psalm 148}
Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens!
Praise him from the skies!
Praise him, all his angels!
Praise him, all the armies of heaven!
Praise him, sun and moon!
Praise him, all you twinkling stars!
Praise him, skies above!
Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!Let every created thing give praise to the Lord, for he issued his command, and they came into being.
He set them in place forever and ever.
His decree will never be revoked.
Praise the Lord from the earth,
you creatures of the ocean depths,
fire and hail, snow and clouds,
wind and weather that obey him,
mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
wild animals and all livestock,
small scurrying animals and birds,
kings of the earth and all people,
rulers and judges of the earth,
young men and young women,
old men and children.
Let them all praise the name of the Lord.
For his name is very great;
his glory towers over the earth and heaven!
He has made his people strong, honoring his faithful ones— the people of Israel who are close to him.
Praise the Lord!

Glorify God!

🙌🏻 Let’s glorify Him. As believers, everything we do should be with the mind and heart to glorify God. Eating, drinking, sleeping, serving, loving, talking, working, playing–we should always keep this in the forefront of our mind: that as His redeemed people, glorifying God is our purpose on earth. And an astounding privilege.

The smallest things in our lives can be done to the glory of God. Even things that seem like it would never glorify Him, such as paying bills or creating a budget. Or putting the shopping cart back in the shopping cart area. Or being on time. Or choosing silence over saying something unpleasant. Or choosing an apple over junk food. Or keeping our home clean and in order. Or washing our bodies and taking care of ourselves. Yes, everyday, small, mundane things can be done to the glory of God!

As believers in Jesus Christ, we are living sacrifices poured out as an offering to Him. And the beautiful thing is, He accepts it with gladness.

Yes, the holy, unworldly, glorious God who created the heavens and earth accepts us as a living sacrifice unto Him – a pleasing aroma that is constantly reaching to His heart in Heaven.

Let’s marvel at the amazing truth that God uses us as vessels for His glory here on earth. We are able to glorify the God of Heaven. That’s a high position and not to be taken lightly.

Let’s glorify our Father in all we do!

‭‭{Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬}
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

{Zephaniah 3:17}
The LORD thy God is in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

{Revelation 8:5}
And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

The Power Belongs to God

The power will always belong to God.💫

A l w a y s.

If your life seems out of control, remember that all power in heaven and earth and under earth belongs to Him. Be comforted knowing that our God is fully capable of caring for His own people. If He’s willing to die for us, He’s willing to take care of us in our current circumstance.

He made the stars in their brilliance, the mountains in their majestic grandiosity, and also your heart in its fragility. He reigns over it all, and nothing is outside of His control.

God Keeps All of His Promises

15107296_960059664100823_1817329472232136934_n.jpg

There is no way in the world that God would ever break His promises. He could never. In His divine holiness, His promises are attached to His own perfect nature. He is the only One in all our existence that will never break His promises to you or let you down. He has showed me this time after time after time since I became His. Like a lover wooing His bride with remarkable love, God draws us in and then He lavishes His grace, His love, His favour, and His promises on us. His gifts are nothing like the gifts we receive on earth – His gifts are so much better.

His gift is this: that He quenches the human soul’s inborn thirst for the living God.

He does this by condescending into humanity and sacrificing His life for us, so we can be close to Him, closer than we could ever imagine. He does this by letting us know Him personally, intimately. He does this by knowing US personally, intimately.

Those deep and piercing heart-pulling great love stories that bring us to tears and ache our hearts ain’t got nothing on the ultimate romance with Him. The deep-set natural gut-wrenching hunger for the perfect love found only in God is why those movies exist in the first place. We want perfect love, and it’s only found in Him.

In His perfect love, He always keeps His promises.🌸

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
‭‭{2 Peter‬ ‭1:3-4‬}
