Victory in Jesus

What a magnificent God we serve. He made the beauty of snow-laden forests yet He is so concerned and compassionate about our lives. He is dedicated to our victory over the darkness of this world. Nothing goes unnoticed by Him. He sees it all – the hurting, the pain, the weariness, the frustration, the brokenness – and oh, He cares.

He is so active in every detail of His saint’s life that if we r e a l l y knew the magnitude of His care for us, we would never have an ounce of worry, fear, or anxiety again.

Never mistake His invisibility for inactivity.

He wants and desires our faith during our walk with Him on this earth despite not being able to see Him. He promises that those who have faith in Him yet cannot see Him will be blessed.

Our faith is what grows us, strengthens us, matures us, sanctifies us. He does it all, but it’s through our clinging to Him tightly in faith and hiding under His protection during every season in life is what makes us victorious. And it is nothing of our own strength and power, but all through His.⭐️

In Jesus Christ there is V I C T O R Y.

‭‭{John‬ ‭16:33‬}
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

‭‭{John‬ ‭20:29‬}
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

{1 John 5:4-5}
For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

‭‭‭‭{Romans‬ ‭5:1-5‬}
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

‭‭

Worship God and Only God

Worshiping and loving Jesus edifies our soul and fills our hearts.

Many who are disconnected from their Creator do not realize this, but loving God h e a l s us. Because we were made for Him and we were made by Him. We need Him.

Refusing to worship Him and love Him actually damages us. Why? Because human beings were made to worship; and, if we’re not worshiping our Maker, we’re worshiping  s o m e t h i n g  else. Something that is unworthy of the worship of our hearts. Something that we should not be worshiping.

Alcohol, money, fame, possessions, attention, family, excitement, beauty, drugs, work, sports, food, comfort, hobbies, education, intellect, sex, self, other human beings, false gods and idols made of human hands.

These are just a few things that humans will latch on to if they aren’t clinging to the One who breathed the breath of life into their lungs.

Worship is  a n y t h i n g  that takes the highest precedence in our minds and hearts. And if it’s not God, then it is something created, which will ultimately damage us in greater ways than we can imagine.

But He heals us. He makes us whole. He forgives us. He makes us new.

We’re broken without Him. There’s no way around it. No matter how good and full one’s life looks like on the outside, we are utterly broken and lost if He do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, the only one who is truly worthy of our worship and praise.

Go to him and find true fullness and wholeness and healing and love.

When you find Him and experience true freedom, you won’t be able to do anything b u t worship and praise the majestic, delightful, worthy God of heaven.

{Exodus 34:14}
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

{Matthew 13:15-16}
For this the people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

{Genesis 2:7}
The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God is L O V E

17200913_1057768084329980_7068717181274942926_n.jpg

And apart from Him there is no love at all – only a phony substituted version of love that will never satisfy our hearts and always leave us restless. But in God’s love, we find t r u e rest for our hearts. How can there be real love outside the God who created everything into existence? The One who actually stitched your heart together and is making it beat this very moment?

Pause and take a moment to feel your heart beat inside of your chest. He’s the One making it beat.

He‘s the One who defines love, and therefore there’s no possibility of finding love, real love, outside of Him.

If it isn’t His love, what is it?

It’s good emotion but is tainted with personal desire, lust, and selfish motive. Even in our best efforts our love is stained with sin.

But Jesus Christ showed us true, pure, real love in while we were yet sinners, He died for us in the greatest sacrifice that has ever touched man. And this great sacrifice is the free gift of salvation. Jesus took the penalty of your sin, if we accept Him as our Lord and ask forgiveness. He endured what we should have received from a righteous, just, holy God.

This God is true love, but in perfect unity He is also perfectly just and wrathful towards our sinful nature. But, if we turn to Him and cry out to Him for salvation and forgiveness, you will receive this beautiful gift.

Won’t you accept True Love today?

Once you taste the real thing, you’ll never settle for plastic.

{1 John 4:7}
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God. He that loves not knows not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. This is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the sacrifice for our sins.

Jesus is my King

17201429_1057036874403101_2506938780699484542_n.jpg

No matter what goes on in my life, Jesus Christ is my King.
No matter what storm, what trial, what tribulation, distress, pressure, heartbreak, or failure I face, He’s my King.
No matter what fears I have inside of me, He’s my King.
Whether I’m victorious in life or I can’t walk any longer, Jesus is my King.
Confusion may overwhelm me at times, but one thing is for certain – the Rock is my King.
I may get discouraged, but Jesus is my King.
I may not understand, but Jesus will always be my King.
No matter what adversity wants to get ahold of me, my Jesus is my King.
No matter what type of darkness that tries to subdue me, Jesus is my beloved King.
Whatever I go through in life, I’m carried under the everlasting arms of King Jesus.
No matter who rules the world or what kind of power they have, Jesus is the King of Kings!
No matter which president they elect, Jesus is Lord of Lords.
Jesus is the King over rulers, nations, authority.
Jesus is King over the entire earth.
Of my entire life, my soul, my spirit, my mind, my being, He is my sweet King and I want no one else.
Of my heart, Jesus is King, forever and ever and all eternity.
JESUS IS MY KING!

{Deuteronomy 33:26-27}
There is none like the God of Israel,
Who rides the heavens to your help,
And through the skies in His majestic glory.
The eternal God is your refuge as dwelling place,
And underneath are the everlasting arms;
He drove out the enemy before you,
And said, ‘Destroy!’
So Israel dwells in safety and security.

I Become less, He Becomes More

16997692_1051778531595602_3651530853795798438_n

When we are in Jesus, His strength is perfected in our weakness.

We become less. He becomes more.

I remember weeks following the special moment that I gave my life to Jesus Christ, there was this strange new feeling within me.

I was dying to self.

I was becoming less, and He was becoming more. It was very new and unfamiliar to me, because I had spent all of my entire life trying to be m o r e of me. In perfect unity, He was spiritually circumsicing me and giving me a new heart. From a hard heart to a tender heart.

In this, the sinful calloused, fleshly nature in me was being removed by the hand of God. In His refining fire, He was burning away the person previously known as Tanya for the past 29 years.

At first, this new feeling was u n c o m f o r t a b l e.

Because I wasn’t acquainted with being less of me so God could be more in me. I was used to always trying to be m o r e of me. But more of me without God is an ugly thing. Jesus completely reversed this within my new heart:

Selfishness to selflessness, vanity to humbleness, greed to giving, hate to love.

I knew what was happening was good, and I desired it. But in my new baby believer’s mind, dying to self was also just a little bit painful. I could f e e l it. I was a w a r e of it. It was an awareness through my entire being – mind, heart, and soul, that He allowed me to experience. My spiritual outer layer was full of dirt, defilement, and darkness, and it was being removed to reveal my t r u e identity as a daughter of the King.

When I came to Christ, I was transformed into a new creature. I went from dead to alive. Mortal to immortal in Jesus. The old had passed, and the new had come.

With the Holy Spirit freshly in me, I had to learn that more of me is bad, and less of me is so so so good. Because less of me means more of Him. And more of Him means more of His strength and power made perfect in my weaknesses.

It means my weaknesses can be used for His purposes and made into strength by His power.

Though ecstatically full of joy in the Lord, this discomfort I felt at the beginning of my relationship with God was my fleshly carnal nature being cut off of me.

But I’m so glad it did. And I’m so thankful that I’m s t i l l being refined. That I’m
s t i l l dying to self. And that I’ll a l w a y s be sanctified. Because He has become m o r e in me. And more of God is a very wonderful thing.

{Deuteronomy 30:6}
And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants [that is, He will remove the desire to sin from your heart] so that you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and all your soul, so that you may live.”

‭‭{Colossians‬ ‭2:11-14‬}
When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

{2 Corinthians 12:9}
Jesus said, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough – always available – regardless of the situation]; for My power is perfect in your weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may completely enfold me and may dwell in me.”

{Ezekiel 36:26-27}
And I (God) will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

{Romans 6:11}
Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

{Luke 9:23}
And He (Jesus) was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

{Galatians 2:20}
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

{Ephesians 4:22-24}
In reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

{Isaiah 64:8}
Yet, oh LORD, You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter,
And we are all the work of your hand.

Just a Tiny Snowflake…

15940523_1008196182620504_543150145232440873_n.jpg

Oh! The beauties of God’s creation testifies of His love and supreme creativity. How He can create something that is so tiny, to where human beings can’t even see with our naked eye, yet so complex, intricate, unmistakably designed….

It makes my heart beat faster for Him.

The true devastation is that we humans take this for granted. We don’t give Him the praise for His creation as He deserves. We were born and grew up into a world full of beauty and grace, breath and love.

So to our foolish eyes, it has become c o m m o n to us. Such a misfortune when we walk about this world our entire lives, without really basking in the beauty of creation from the hand of our Creator.

This tiny microscopic snowflake right here is proof of a Creator. Yes, proof. Look at it, let your eyes feast on it. How did this come from nothing, without a Designer? There is absolutely no way. This should be enough for the human heart and mind to be settled that there is a God. But not any God – this one little bit of beauty displays God’s own divine beauty in His character and His attributes.

Here are just a few that I could come up with in my limited mind. This one snowflake displays His….

Love: because a God who didn’t love wouldn’t take the time to make something so glorious. Care: because the winter season gives the soil rest and makes way for new life. Creativity: because look at this. Sustenance: water needed for life. Endless glory: because there are no two snowflakes alike, and think about all the snow on earth from the beginning of time until now. Grace, tenderness, exquisiteness, majesty, power, mercy, devotion, commitment, sweetness…this one snowflake says so much about Him!

The God who made each and every snowflake also gave you each breath that you’re breathing this very moment. Give Him the breath that He so lovingly gave you back to Him in praise. Love and adore Him. He is so worthy of our honour and praise. He is so beautiful and holy.

‭‭{Isaiah‬ ‭55:6-11‬}
Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”
‭‭{Psalms‬ ‭147:15-18‬}
He sends his orders to the world— how swiftly his word flies! He sends the snow like white wool; he scatters frost upon the ground like ashes. He hurls the hail like stones. Who can stand against his freezing cold? Then, at his command, it all melts. He sends his winds, and the ice thaws.

‭‭{Romans‬ ‭1:19-20‬}
They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Being Loved by God

15826705_1003482313091891_6893569406659566180_n

We, as human beings, were created to love and be loved. Females especially have this ache in their heart, as we were given nurturing instincts by God. Many girls grow up thinking they are unlovable, not good enough, not beautiful enough, not ‘quiet’ enough, not this or that or anything else–enough. Look at magazine ads we are saturated with and you’ll see that those false images of the perfect female completely devalues our self-worth…IF we don’t have God’s deep love in our hearts.

Before I became a Christian, I was hungry for true love that I thought could only be found in a man. My self-worth was dependant on it and I never truly felt good enough or that I could be fully loved completely. I didn’t think I was good enough to be loved, and I saw myself as too flawed. For hours everyday I would plaster on makeup and creams and try to be perfectly appealing to others, never feeling comfortable just being me. I wouldn’t allow my weaknesses to show and did everything I could to make myself look perfect to others.

But there’s only One who is perfect. And I am unconditionally loved by Him even in my weaknesses, even when everything in my heart is laid out before Him, exposed and vulnerable. My most bare self is beautifully loved by Him.

Not some of me, but all of me. Loved by Him. And because of He loved me first, now all of me loves Him.

His love c h a n g e d me.

When God whisked me off my feet that one wintery night in December two years ago, I literally became a new woman. For the first time in my life, I was wholly and perfectly and fully and divinely L O V E D. By Him who is perfect, God Himself. My longings to be good enough and pretty enough for another person melted off of me like wax, revealing my true identity for the first time. My true identity in Christ. All of my attention-seeking habits fell off of me, one at a time, (and still are!) as He has so lovingly taught me that He sees me as altogether beautiful. That my love ravishes the heart of GOD. That my love for Him delights Him and brings Him pleasure. That He’s passionate for me. I’m loved by Him, and because it’s so perfect, I’m not desperate for love from others.

When you are personally and intimately loved by the Creator of the sun and moon and stars, you are completely whole. It’s what humans are made to crave, yet the majority of humanity tries to fill that gap of needing perfect love with imperfect love in other humans. And it leads to brokenness and pain.

This is not to say love from other humans or a significant other is bad; it’s good and beautiful and a gift from God. But when you look to those people to love you perfectly, and not find it in God first above all other loves, it leads to a huge void and gap in our hearts.

He’s our first love. He’s our divine lover.

We were made by Him and for Him and until a soul realizes this, life will never make sense.

{Song of Songs 4}
“You have captured my heart, my treasure, my bride.
You hold it hostage with one glance of your eyes,
With a single jewel of your necklace.
Your love delights me, my treasure, my bride.
Your love is better than wine,
Your perfume more fragrant than spices.
Your lips are as sweet as nectar, my bride.
You are my private garden, my treasure my bride,
A secluded spring, a hidden fountain.”
The bliss and pleasure of being loved by Him is out of this world.

His Inheritance

15826305_1002073769899412_3964975001896548002_n-2.jpg

Relax…there’s no need to fear.

When you truly belong to Jesus Christ, you are safe in His hands. He is invested in caring for you, sustaining you, growing you, holding you tightly to Himself. The Father gave us His own Son’s life to inherit us as His special treasured possession.

Do you know how incredibly profound that is?
God Himself gave Himself over to experience torture, abuse, and death so He can have us as His treasure, forever. We are an i n h e r i t a n c e to God. Meditate on that, because it’s the most important truth in human existence, and one that makes us whole as human beings.
Knowing this, there is literally no way that He will lose His tight grip on His sons and daughters. The thought of this might make some people uncomfortable – but once you know Him, once you see Him, and once you experience His magnificent love, His holding onto you tightly won’t be enough for you and you’ll ache for more of Him.

Be prepared, if you give your life over to Him, you’ll fall in love with Him. There’s no way to experience His saving grace and not have intense emotional feelings of love and longing for Him. Our salvation isn’t based on feelings but once you’re saved there’s no way you won’t have feelings. And if you have little to no feelings for Him, please seek His face and His love with everything in you.

As His people, we will go through high seasons and dry seasons, seasons of obedience and seasons of doubt, seasons of quietness and seasons of pure fire. But, no matter what season we may face as believers, we will n e v e r stop loving Him. Never. Once you’re His, you’re His for life and loving Him becomes more natural than breathing or blinking.

Take seriously the admonition in scripture to test yourself to see if you’re in the faith.

Because you will deeply love the God who saved you from hell.

‭‭{Ephesians‬ ‭1:18‬}
“I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.”

‭‭{2 Corinthians‬ ‭13:5‬}
“Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.”

{Matthew‬ ‭7:21‬}
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.”

What’s His will?

‭‭{Matthew‬ ‭22:37-40‬}
And He said to him, “you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”This is the great and foremost commandment.

{Deuteronomy 6:5}
And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.

‭‭{John‬ ‭14:21‬}
“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.””

{Deuteronomy 10:12}
what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

‭‭{Micah‬ ‭6:8‬}
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

‭‭{John‬ ‭10:27-30‬}
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”

Forgiveness

15823246_1000112180095571_4780952596498653805_n.jpg

I used to have the biggest problem with forgiveness. It was so difficult for me to let go of hurts and let go of those people who have hurt me. It’s because I was so broken and I looked to humans to love me perfectly. They won’t. No matter how hard I tried to let go, those pains would always come back to me and it would leave b i t t e r n e s s in my stomach.

It was because I was looking to others to fulfill in me what only God can. The hungry thirst for His perfect love, His perfect wholeness, His perfect  f o r g i v e n e s s.

It wasn’t until the Forgiver Himself forgave me. He forgave me of literally every wrong I’ve done, every bad thing, big and small. All the darkness within. He forgave it all, at a time when I couldn’t even forgive m y s e l f.

Once I tasted His spiritual cleansing and refreshing forgiveness, it freed me. It freed me not only to forgive myself, but to forgive others. He took my weakness and made His power alive in me, giving me the ability to forgive and let go the tight grip I had on hurts and on people.

Some forgiving I had to do happened momentarily at my conversion, when I was filled with His love, and some other forgiveness in my heart occurred through situations and circumstances that have come up in my life that God used to teach me and cling to His love first. I had to “let” Him heal hurts, letting His tenderness and sweetness hold my heart secure. With His work in my heart, He helped me overcome unforgiveness. It was only by His power in my life and His gentleness in my heart. With each new season and each new challenge, He taught me, He grew me, He refined me.

He loved me in ways that are so sacred and holy and divine.

My heart couldn’t resist, and I didn’t have room any longer for g a r b a g e in my soul because He removed it all and flooded me with His light. With His sweet love. And He will continue to do it until I’m ready to see His glorious face.

With His wholeness in me, I no longer look to others to fulfill in my life what they could never possibly fulfill. They aren’t perfect, and will not love me perfectly, and that’s okay. I’m not perfect, but the one who I S perfect forgave all of my imperfections. He has taught me to run to Him with any hurt I face in life.

I was forgiven of a l l my sins against a perfect, holy God, and it has freed me to forgive other people’s sins against an  i m p e r f e c t  me.

If Jesus Christ was abandoned and denied by His closest followers, yet He still forgave them, I can certainly forgive people in my life who have hurt me to such a lesser degree. All of my sins against my righteous just Creator are incomparably more than a few sins against me by others. And He forgave my despicable sins against Him. E v e r y single one of them. So it frees my own soul to forgive.

He frees us to forgive, and with forgiveness, He frees us to truly love others. It’s only by J E S U S. When we experience the true love and forgiveness of God Himself, we’re able to forgive others and release them from our own chains of unforgiveness.

With God comes healing. Of our hearts and our relationships.

If you’re having trouble forgiving and feel any hurt in your heart towards another person, ask God to make you aware of His perfect love for you and His full acceptance of you. You might be in so much hurt and pain. But God’s love is so much g r e a t e r. Run to God and God alone. Jesus’ love breaks the chains of unforgiveness in our hearts. Sometimes immediately, sometimes through persistent prayer and abiding in Him over time.

But HE WILL, because HE IS.

Jesus heals broken hearts.

{Matthew‬ ‭18:21-35}
“Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven! “Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date with servants who had borrowed money from him. In the process, one of his debtors was brought in who owed him millions of dollars. He couldn’t pay, so his master ordered that he be sold—along with his wife, his children, and everything he owned—to pay the debt. “But the man fell down before his master and begged him, ‘Please, be patient with me, and I will pay it all.’ Then his master was filled with pity for him, and he released him and forgave his debt. “But when the man left the king, he went to a fellow servant who owed him a few thousand dollars. He grabbed him by the throat and demanded instant payment. “His fellow servant fell down before him and begged for a little more time. ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it,’ he pleaded. But his creditor wouldn’t wait. He had the man arrested and put in prison until the debt could be paid in full. “When some of the other servants saw this, they were very upset. They went to the king and told him everything that had happened. Then the king called in the man he had forgiven and said, ‘You evil servant! I forgave you that tremendous debt because you pleaded with me. Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’ Then the angry king sent the man to prison to be tortured until he had paid his entire debt. “That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart.

{Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-3‬}
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.”

{Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-15‬}
“So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.”

Two Years Ago

15822555_998356423604480_5711471452801730574_n

Before Him I was nothing. I felt like nothing. I was an empty shell, so fragile and broken and ugly. The fierce fire of this world burnt me to mere ashes. There was nothing in me, and I was dead in my sins.

But then He came.

And He swept me off my feet. In the most enchanting way, He consumed my heart with His deep love. And I drank until I was drunk. And He filled this empty vessel of mine with blinding Light. And with that Light,

I fell in love.

He set His love on me. His mercy on me. The most beautiful Being in existence took a wilted flower and made her beautiful. Vibrant. Alive. Loved. My Righteous Knight, so lovely and wise, healed me and made me whole.

And I will never let Him go.

I will cling tightly to my King forever and I’ll never loosen my hold on Him. Not for all the money, power, fame, family, fortune. I’d choose the dangers of poverty, homelessness, loneliness, and even death for Him. I have to have Him to be mine, forever.

I would choose Him over any luxurious thing. I’d choose any dangerous thing for Him. In one single heartbeat, I’ll choose Him over anything and everything.

He’s my treasure. Now and forever.

It was two years ago that He saved my soul. It was two years ago that I became truly alive. It was two years ago that I met my Maker in sweet love and complete union. It was two years ago that I fell sold out, on fire, madly, passionately in love with Jesus, my Saviour.🌹
