If You Have God, You are Rich

You could be the richest person on earth, full of wealth and earthly treasures and comfort and money. And houses and cars and diamonds and gold. And fame and fortune and attention and beauty and health.

But if you do not have God, if you don’t have a true, real, close intimate relationship with Him, you have n o t h i n g.

The one who has Christ is the one who is truly rich. He is the greatest treasure one can ever have on this earth – nothing even comes close. You can gain your comfort and riches and vacations and everything you want, but you won’t be taking it with you past the grave. You won’t even be taking your earthly relationships past the grave. You’ll either die without Jesus, the greatest treasure, and live apart from Him eternally in a terrifying place, or you’ll die with the most valuable thing living inside of you. And because Life Himself dwells in you, you have true life in you and will not die. He will raise you up to eternal pleasures, because He is the only heavenly treasure.

You can be dirt poor on a street corner with nothing more than a paper bag. But if you have Christ, you have e v e r y t h i n g.

Don’t store up and gather treasures on this earth yet neglect the true worthy eternal satisfying true treasure – Jesus.

The things of this world are surely enticing, but what good is it to gain the world but lose your soul? Don’t strive to gain gold but abandon your soul. It is not worth it, trust me. Better yet, trust God.

Focus on the eternal. The lasting. The Bread of Life. The true living waters.

Focus on God. Cling to Him and place your relationship with Him above any and every single thing on earth. You will not ever regret it. I promise. More importantly, God Himself promises.

When your heart is latched to the eternal treasure {Jesus Christ}, you’ll notice the weight of importance of these earthly things vanish in your heart like vapour. You become free from this world.

And when Christ frees you, you are free indeed.

“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for Me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet lose their own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.”
‭‭{Matthew‬ ‭16:25-27‬}

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
{Matthew 6:19-21}

What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
{James 4:14}

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and be one with Him.
{Philippians 3:8}
